  1. what's the next transformation (specifically, of these banana prints)?

is there room for text? what words? what ideas?
what are you reading, that might be brought into relation with these images?

what else — fruit or not fruit — can you subject to the same process?

  2. if you're not going to use a text about "transformation" or "metamorphosis" — e.g., Ovid's Metamorphoses (trans: Books of Transformations, many translations available), what text will you use?
    if any?

as was discussed in class, the project is not about bananas, or even fruit. but has to do with transformation.

what needs to happen, for this to be either "art" or "design" ?

  3. grapefruit.
in some ways less interesting — perhaps because less mysterious — than the banana prints.
    how would you compare these?
this is the important question at the moment.

later, can these (and other sources) be developed into decorative elements, for table linen? wall treatments? etc?
